On the occasion of the 49th Le Bourget International Air Show, on 22nd June, GECI Aviation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indonesian company P.T. Sky Aviation for 10 Skylander SK-105, aircraft with options for 10 other aircraft.
PT Sky Aviation, a private company based in Jakarta, operates regular services and offers passenger and freight charter services throughout Indonesia. The aircraft chosen by PT Sky Aviation are 19 passenger versions of the SK-105.
On signature of the MOU, Krisman Tarigan, CEO of PT Sky Aviation, declared “Indonesia is a very large country, with hundreds airports, from very short unpaved runways to international airports. As PT Sky Aviation’s vision to fly in every sky, started with indonesian sky, with an aircraft like the skylander, capable to operate on all fields, and will help us to give the best service to our clients”.

The delivery of the first three SK-105 to P.T. Sky Aviation is planned in 2013.
The Skylander SK-105 is a new generation twin turboprop, capable of transporting 19 passengers or 2.7 tonnes of freight and operating in extreme temperature and altitude conditions, on airports as well as short and make-shift runways.
In passenger configuration, with a 1.83 m high cabin, 51 cm wide seats and good acoustic insulation, the Skylander offers optimum comfort conditions. Versatile, the Skylander is the ideal aircraft for the transport of passengers, tourist development, freight and express freight transport, perishable foodstuffs, sanitary evacuation, humanitarian missions, aerial survey or even air drops.
With Its exceptional range of 840 NM (1560 km – legal reserves) with 19 pax, the Skylander is capable of numerous services without refueling, a for operators, of an optimal profitability.
Developed by Sky Aircraft, a GECI Aviation subsidiary, the SK-105 will make its first flight in the first half of 2012, for certification twelve months later. Over 1,500 Skylander aircraft will leave the Sky Aircraft assembly lines between 2013 and 2030.
